ShopSite version 10 upgrade notes:

New Features:

Many new features have been added to ShopSite 10 (Built-in HTML editor, multiple realtime shipping carriers, updated Google Analytics support, new themes, and more). For a full breakdown of the new features, you may go to:

Upgrade Issues:

There are a few upgrade issues to be aware of before upgrading to this latest release:

  • With v10, the HTML editor is now built into the software. This allows merchants to directly edit text fields in the backoffice using a WYSIWYG HTML editor. This built-in functionality would replace our standalone HTML editor that we offer. You can configure this new feature under: Utilities -- HTML Editor
  • ShopSite meets PCI compliance requirements in version 10, and is certified PCI - DSS compliant. ShopSite has passed the Payment Application Best Practices (PABP) security standards requirements.
  • ShopSite now supports multiple realtime shipping carriers. You can now offer realtime UPS, USPS, and/or FedEx shipping options that are built into ShopSite (in both Manager and Pro). If you have one of our shipping APIs, those can continue to be used without any issue. This new feature just provides enhanced functionality.
  • If you are using one of our shipping API scripts, these shipping options are now supported with free shipping coupons and Google Checkout. You will need to define the available shipping options in the backoffice under: Commerce Setup -- Shipping for this to work. Contact us if you need help getting this configured.
  • ShopSite now supports the new Google Analytics tracking code. You can switch to this new built-in format in the backoffice under: Merchandising -- Google -- Google Analytics

You will need to change the radio button to the new code, and paste the new code into the textbox.

Upgrade Pricing:

This upgrade is free of charge to any store that is leasing the ShopSite software, or any license owner that is already at version 9. For v9 license owners, the free upgrade is available through January 2009. Because of this, LexiConn will automatically upgrade license owners before the end of January 2009 in the event the v10 upgrade was not requested earlier.

If you own a ShopSite license version 8 or older, the one time upgrade fee is $125 for Manager and $325 for Pro.
