As of June 1st, having regular FTP enabled on your website invalidates PCI. The Payment Card Industry (PCI) is what governs the rules and regulations for securing credit card data.
If you’re an ecommerce merchant and accept credit cards, you are required to be PCI compliant. Failure to be PCI compliant can subject your company to fees and fines.

Last Tuesday was an exciting time for one of our clients. It was exciting for us as well.

Google loves to make the web a faster place. They are obsessed with fast websites. So obsessed that they’ve made page speed one of the ranking factors for their search index (but remember there are over 200 ranking factors, so it’s not the end-all and be-all of search ranking).
And now Google has released an add-on for web servers (Apache) that aims to make websites even faster.
